The Dermalan Depigmentation Process
From Spain the Dermalan depigmentation process begins with a peel along with easy to follow homecare instructions. It is an option for melasma, acne and other pigment issues. Pigmentation of the skin is caused by photoaging due to sun exposure, excess pigmentation, blemishes and hormonal changes resulting in darkened pigmentation. Pigmentation may present on the face, neck, chest and hands and is a common concern. It is possible to address these pigmentation concerns without using laser technology. Dermalan can help recover the smoothness and luminosity of the skin.
Dermalan has a direct effect on the formation of pigment (melanin). It's primary action is to eliminate the melanin patches resulting from melasma as well as acne hyperpigmentation. A high margin of 99% of the patients will see improvement of skin blemishes within the first month of treatment. The process is simple.
Dermalan Steps
1. Step 1 in your Dermalan program is the application of the specially formulated pigment-reduction activating mask called Dermalan Mask. This is a key component in stimulating the quickest response. The special Dermalan Mask is left on your skin for 5 to 10 hours depending on your skin type and sensitivity level. The mask is applied at our office and you will leave it on at home until it is time to wash the mask off.
The mega-active ingredients in the new Dermalan MD include hydroquinone and retinoic acid. Hydroquinone suppresses the pigmentation cycle as the retinoic acid encourages quick cell turnover to shed brown patches and discoloration. The two are an unbeatable combination for fighting all incidences of skin discoloration from pigmentation concentrations.
2. Your At-Home Dermalan Program will consist of active-ingredient products you will use on a consistent basis to further improve pigmentation problems and prevent excess pigment formation. Your maintenance cream, Dermalan II, will be used on a ongoing basis. This special pigment control cream contains ingredients such as Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid and a protective agent, Titanium Dioxide.

Dermalan® Depigmentation treatment action mechanism is based on the inhibition of tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process. Several of the substances present in the Dermalan formula act by blocking this enzyme.
