Nd-YAG Laser Treatments

Used to treat, spider veins on legs and improve the appearance of larger purple and deep blue reticular leg veins, the Nd-YAG laser is also highly effective on red facial vascular spots, blood blisters, cherry hemangiomas, facial rosacea, port wine stains, scars and even stretch marks, often with immediate and dramatic results.

How it works

Pulses of intense laser light cause the blood inside the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the entire vessel. The vessel is later reabsorbed into the body and blood flow is redirected to deeper, non-visible veins.

What to expect

Clients will require one or two 10 - 15 minute treatments and improvement is usually noticed within two to six weeks, although the improvement could take months depending on the condition. Some clients report a stinging sensation and may choose to use a topical anaesthetic. Pain after the procedure is minimal or non-existent. Normal activity can be continued immediately but strenuous activities should be restricted for the first 24 hours. Sun exposure should also be limited.
